For those of you that are curious as to some of the reasoning and equipment behind our PSU testing program here at HardOCP, we have put together a living document that shares a lot of the behind the scenes of the program. The testing we are conducting today is exactly as described in that document and will begin with a range of loads tested at 120v input including our torture test and then move on to the same set of tests at 100v input but without the torture test.
The 100v load test results for the HALE82 850W are similar to what we saw at 120v testing in most regards. The regulation was across the board the same as we saw at 120v. This means that while good,[url=http://www.sport.fr/sponsoring/uggpascher.html]ugg pas cher[/url], it trails the Corsair TX850 V2 and XFX Core Edition 850W across the board. The efficiency of this unit at 100v is ranging from 79.80% to 84.02% which again kind of puts this unit in the middle of this three part harmony. Lastly, the exhaust temperature peaks here at 61C. As we said the last time with a unit based on this design, all in all not bad, but the low end of the efficiency is really not that impressive these days.
